Current legislation requires that all lifting equipment must be thoroughly examined at least once every 12 months by a competent person. The requirements of the testing and the competence of the examiner are defined under the latest Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER). In addition - BS7121 Parts 2 and 4 recommend a 25% overload test be carried out:
- Before first being taken into service
- Every 4 years after being taken into service
- Every 4 years thereafter
- After a major repair or component change
- When a change of chassis takes place
All lorry loaders installed by Central Crane Technicians are tested to 125% of maximum load using our calibrated test weights.
We adhere to the LOLER / ALLMI guidelines on lorry loaders by offering a documented 12 Month Inspection and 4 yearly load test system. We recommend this is done in conjunction with a regular 6 monthly service to minimise time off road and to ensure reliable future operation.
At CCT we offer a complete training package to ALLMI standards. ALLMI is the UK's only trade association devoted wholly to the lorry loader industry.
We offer two types of training:
- 1 day course for experienced operator
- 2 day course for non-experienced operator
Both courses can be carried out either on our premises or on-site.
